****PUBLIC NOTICE**** Coraopolis Borough is currently reviewing the possibility of transitioning police dispatch services to the Allegheny County 911 Communications Center. This review is part of the Borough’s ongoing effort to evaluate operations and ensure the most effective delivery of emergency services to the community. Borough officials are gathering information and discussing the potential change as part of this process. At this time, no decision has been made, and emergency services for residents will continue to operate as normal.

Our History

The borough was incorporated on June 7, 1886. It was previously known as a village under the name of Middletown, while the post office name was Vancefort. It was established in August 1861, and changed to Coraopolis in March 1886.
