Friendly Reminder When ordering a dumpster for your address please complete and return the Borough’s Dumpster Permit Application. There is no cost to place a dumpster on the road (unless it is taking up metered spaces). Our Police Department will verify that your dumpster is placed in a safe area and then issue a permit. If you have any questions please call the Borough Office at 412-264-3002, Monday through Friday 8:00 – 4:30

Our History

The borough was incorporated on June 7, 1886. It was previously known as a village under the name of Middletown, while the post office name was Vancefort. It was established in August 1861, and changed to Coraopolis in March 1886.
